Project Goal Fast access to disaster areas to provide aid and support to
survivors in case of natural disasters first requires existence of
adequate communication systems, and their availability and perfect
operability during disasters. Therefore, the General Directorate of
Civil Defence aimed to create an uninterruptable communication system
through integrated radio, satellite and computer systems for use in case
of any natural disasters throughout the country, covering supply of all
equipment required for installation of the necessary infrastructure in
all 81 provinces.
Within the scope of the project, HFF/SSB radio systems were supplied and
installed for the SSGM Search & Rescue Forces in 11 provinces, and
satellite telephone systems and required computer hardware were supplied
and installed at local Directorates of Defence in 81 provinces.
